Meet & Greet Social for LGBTQ+ Women and Non-Binary People with Additional Needs

Meet and Greet Social Eventbrite.png

LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people in the UK living with additional needs are invited to join a relaxed social meet and greet event online on Wednesday 26 May, 7-8pm.

This will be a social mixer for LGBT women and non-binary people who would like to meet others with additional needs such as those with a learning difficulty, including autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and those who experience social anxiety.

It can be difficult meeting people for both friendship and dating as an LGBT adult, and we know it can be intimidating going into a new space and not knowing if your needs can be met. We want to help connect you with other LGBT women and non-binary people with additional needs

This is a welcoming space in a relaxed setting designed to make you feel safe and comfortable. You are welcome to interact with others with your camera and audio on or off.

The hour will be structured with some opening ice-breaker conversation starters as a group, before everyone is split into smaller groups to discuss common interest topics like films, books, cooking, and travel.

Produced in collaboration by LGBT Foundation’s Women’s Programme and Sappho Events - creators of safe, sober and social events for LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people across the UK to connect over common interests.

Cost: FREE

The event is for women who identify as lesbian, bisexual, queer or questioning, all or part of the time, including trans women, women of colour, older women, disabled/neurodivergent women, women who are seeking asylum or have no recourse to public funds, women of all faiths and backgrounds, and non-binary/gender fluid people and transfeminine people who want to access a women-centred space.

Please read the LGBT Foundation's Safer Spaces Policy before you join us.

This event is for people aged 18+

For 2020-2021 the LGBT Foundation Women's Programme were very fortunate to receive funding from OGX Hair products.
