Calling all single queers!

Enjoy a relaxed in-person speed dating event for LGBTQIA+ women, trans and non-binary people in London on Sunday 24 April 2021, 5-6pm.

We will pair you up with approximately 10 fantastic dates. You’ll have a few minutes with each pairing to spark up a good conversation.

We’ll also help kickstart the event with some friendly ice breakers. Your host will be Sappho Events founder, Maryann Wright.

You'll then be matched with those who both expressed interest (in friendship and/or dating) so you can keep the conversation going without us.

Glass House London is a safe and welcoming LGBTQIA+ venue that is inclusive for all sexualities and genders.

Date: Sunday 24 April 2022, 5-6pm

Location: Glass House, London (118 Bethnal Green Road, London, E2 6DG). The nearest station is Shoreditch High Street Overground (OR online via zoom)

Price: £5. Up to 10 places available. Pricing is subsidised by the Channel 4 documentary makers due to the added component and disruption of filming.

PLEASE NOTE

This speed dating event will be filmed as part of a Channel 4 documentary.

The documentary is a 2-part documentary series for Channel 4 in which it follows six to eight women who 'cam' for a living. The series will explore the richness of their lives, including the work they do and also their relationships, goals, aspirations and adventures. It is handheld and observational in style and the tone will be warm and entertaining. One of the documentary's contributors is single and they will be following her dating life. This event will be filmed as part of the series, observing how she gets on speed dating at the event.

Those who attend will be asked to give consent for their conversations to be filmed when they are on a speed date with the contributor who is part of the documentary. There is no guarantee anything filmed on the night will end up in the documentary, but it is important all who take part understand that there is chance it could, and 2 film cameras will be there on the night. Please only purchase a reduced price ticket if you feel comfortable to potentially be seen on a speed date as part of this documentary.
